The Atlanta-based company announces the addition of Holiday Inn Charleston-Mt. Pleasant (S.C.), Holiday Inn Express – Ashley River (Charleston, S.C.) and Beachview Club Hotel on Jekyll Island, Ga. to its management portfolio. Specializing in providing transformative solutions to complex projects, NorthPointe Hospitality will be undertaking extensive renovation work and brand alignment strategies at each property to achieve its position as a market leader.
Holiday Inn Charleston – Mt. Pleasant is a 158-room full-service hotel with meeting space located five minutes from downtown Charleston. NorthPointe will spearhead a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranding of this hotel which caters to business, group and leisure travelers.
Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown-Ashley River is a 153-room hotel with meeting space located near the Medical University of South Carolina and Charleston’s Historic District.
The 38-room boutique Beachview Club Hotel is located along prime oceanfront on Georgia’s pristine Jekyll Island. NorthPointe is overseeing a complete renovation of the property, transforming it into an all-suites property and enhancing service standards to create an intimate, beachfront getaway.
NorthPointe will manage all aspects of hotel operations, from accounting to staffing, to food and beverage operations at each property. The company deploys cutting-edge techniques in financial management, guest service, quality assurance and employee retention to ensure exceptional returns and sustainable long-term growth at each hotel.

After NorthPointe purchased The Partridge Inn in 2014, it completed an extensive multi-million dollar renovation of the historic property, including a comprehensive overhaul of all guest rooms, bathrooms, verandahs and a new restaurant concept. The Partridge Inn’s new design preserves the historic architectural features of the Inn while offering a sophisticated and contemporary interior.
NorthPointe also directed the $22 million complete transformation of the Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island that was completed in 2015. The three-story, oceanfront, family-friendly resort has 157 guest rooms and suites, a quarter mile of private beach, a poolside lounge, full-service restaurant and access to numerous outdoor land- and sea-based activities.
The dynamic leadership team of the independent management company has more than 75 years of combined experience with the country’s largest franchise, construction, banking and third-party management companies. Seasoned hospitality industry veteran Greg Winey serves as president and principal of the company. Mr. Winey is a passionate hotelier with more than 35 years of industry experience. He has overseen more than 200 hotels in his career, ranging to those with 40 to more than 400 rooms.
